"So, instead of hiding in the bathroom and standing next to the trash can which I commonly do…"

I felt personally attacked but okay, glad you made it!

Well done on the conference! I haven't been to any lately, but I used to go to various computer security conferences in San Francisco in the past - although like you I didn't usually interact too much with people mostly because I didn't have any specific thing I wanted to talk about. Since Youtube now has most of the presentation videos online, I just download those.

I also used to go to entertainment conferences like WonderCon when it was in San Francisco and also some Doctor Who. Met Jonathan Harris once from the original "Lost in Space" TV series (WAY before your time!) When there was a panel on my favorite show at the time, I would queue up to ask questions of the stars of the show during Q&A time. It was always fun to interact with an actor or producer.

As for anime, I tend not to follow those with one exception: Ghost In The Shell. Two others I have on my hard drive include "Blade Runner Black Lotus" (really excellent), and "Cyberpunk - Edgerunners" - both of which fit my preference for cyberpunk sci-fi.

I downloaded the slides from the learning series and I've kept the 3 videos for re-viewing at some point. I must say, the plans made by the participants are so detailed I wonder if I can ever get as good at it as they are - or be disciplined enough to follow such a plan. But I'm sure I'll find your process and prompts extremely valuable as I have a LOT of tech subjects I need to learn.

Looking forward to your next video.

Oh I've been to a few tech/AI conferences in SF - some were interesting and some were basically just house parties haha.

I've watched all of those animes. I also love the cyberpunk genre!

Have you made a study plan already? It's okay if it's not perfect, it'll change over time anyway. The important thing is to just get started with something. What are you looking to study?
