Hi friends! How’s it going??
I went to VidSummit in Dallas! It’s this annual creator conference with lots of creators, businesses, sales, marketing etc. and I’d been told that it has great speakers and networking opportunities.
In case you didn’t know I’m quite socially awkward and I was kinda freaking out prior because I never know what to do in these types of large scale events. 🥹
But this time I was like NO this shit is expensive I paid $1000 + airbnb + flight for this I MUST get my money’s worth. So, instead of hiding in the bathroom and standing next to the trash can which I commonly do….I participated. 😤
The talks were quite good and I talked to lots of people. Nothing really concrete came out of it but I met lots of different people who I’m sure I’ll cross paths with again. Overall it was a good experience and I might go back next year. Are you guys proud of me. 🥺
Guess what? I’m going to Brooklyn in a couple weeks for another creator conference. My goal is to meet more people in the education space and maybe even potentially find a mentor. Gotta shoot my shot! 👀
🌻 Interesting Things (I think)
A range of things that I find interesting!
🖊️ Learning
My Impossible Crazy Goal: to positively touch the lives of a million people ie. 1 million views/video.
I made an updated study plan based on the 3 part series Let’s Create A Study Plan (part 1, 2, 3) livestreams in the past few weeks. I still need to refine it with some of the learnings I got from Vid Summit though.
📚 Books
I re-read The Alchemist and it kinda blew my mind again.
It’s a story about an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure. It’s a book full of symbolism, mythology, and wisdom. I highly recommend it if you feel like you have a dream to fulfill but you feel like it’s too hard, scary, or are starting to become unsure.
🍥 Anime
I’ve been watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
It’s about two interstellar superpowers that had been at war for 150 years. But now, there’s a new generation of leaders: an idealistic military genius called Reinhard von Lohengramm and a historian called Yang Wenli. It has action, strategy, politics, and good character development. I like it a lot - would recommend!

I felt personally attacked but okay, glad you made it!
