I was quite busy with Lonely Octopus for the past few weeks but tbh I also totally fell off the wagon and got out of the habit of writing newsletters. BUT weāre back on the wagon now!! Omg I have so much to tell youā¦idk where to even start lol. Well, basically Iām in fugitive mode. š± They finally locked down Beijing because there are too many Covid cases. No idea how long the lockdown will be, but for reference, Shanghai was locked down for 2 months and there are some places that have been locked down for 3+ monthsā¦
Haven't read Shoedog yet but I've been interested in eventually obtaining a copy. Recent subscriber to your substack and YT channel. As a budding content creator, coder, blogger, and generalist of sorts-- I'm currently trying construct a flexible plan of habit for building these skills while striving toward a chief personal aim. Hope you're safe and that all the COVID insanity eventually subsides!
Thanks for letting us know how you're doing. I can't believe that shutdown is the #lifestyle right now in your "hometown." I'm grateful I have the freedom to go to any city and not be accosted by the covid popo. They look funny in their bunny suits. What are they doing?

I also liked Shoe Dog but its important to remember that a billionaire paid someome to write it and edit it.
Its great having basically infinite resources to make your book sticky and successful and sanitize your story of your business.
Again great writing but Phil Knight is still a shitty ruthless capitalist who profits off of sweat shop labor.
