πββ¬ Life
Hi friend! Howβs the week going for you? Honestly, Iβm having a really hard time right now because of a really rough breakup that was completely out of the blue and basically shattered most of the plans I had for the future in an instant. But yeah I was pretty much non-functional for a while but am trying to get myself back up now.
(ΰΉ*α*) Anime
I know Iβm having a really hard time if I actually stop watching anime lol. But yeah, no anime.
I do recommend Parallel World Pharmacy though. Itβs about a pharmacologist who died from overwork and got reincarnated into a medieval world with only primitive medicine. Yep itβs another isekai but itβs really good! Itβs a world where he can use magic to make pharmaceuticals. Drugs + magic lol what could possibly go wrong?
π Books
Iβm currently reading a couple of books. One of them is called Attached which my friend Ken sent me as part of a post-breakup care package. The other is called 13 Things Mentally Strong People Donβt Do from my friend Ashish. Iβve had the support of so many amazing friends and Iβm just incredibly grateful. β€οΈ
Attached is about different adult attachment styles. You may have heard about the three attachment categories: anxious, avoidant, and secure.
π° Anxious people are preoccupied with their relationships and tend to worry about their partnerβs ability to love them back.
π¬ Avoidant people see intimacy as a loss of independence and constantly try to withdraw and minimize closeness.
π Secure people feel comfortable with intimacy and are usually warm and loving.
I really appreciate this book because itβs helping me understand the relationship from an objective perspective. Highly recommend.
13 Things Mentally Strong People Donβt Do, as its name suggests, is a book about strategies that help you develop mental strength. The 13 things are:
Donβt waste time feeling sorry for yourself
Donβt give away your power
Donβt shy away from change
Donβt focus on things you canβt control
Donβt worry about pleasing everyone
Donβt fear taking calculated risks
Donβt dwell on the past
Donβt make the same mistakes over and over
Donβt resent other peopleβs success
Donβt give up after the first failure
Donβt fear alone time
Donβt feel the world owes you anything
Donβt expect immediate results
I found the chapters on donβt waste time feeling sorry for yourself and donβt dwell on the past especially helpful. In the donβt feel sorry for yourself chapter, Amy talks about changing your perspective into gratitude. That has helped a lot.

Sorry to hear that.
It is nice to see you are trying to get back up. A sign of being driven. The natural drive to get back at it. Nice.
