🐈⬛ Life
Hi friend! How’s the week going for you? Honestly, I’m having a really hard time right now because of a really rough breakup that was completely out of the blue and basically shattered most of the plans I had for the future in an instant. But yeah I was pretty much non-functional for a while but am trying to get myself back up now.
(๑*ᗜ*) Anime
I know I’m having a really hard time if I actually stop watching anime lol. But yeah, no anime.
I do recommend Parallel World Pharmacy though. It’s about a pharmacologist who died from overwork and got reincarnated into a medieval world with only primitive medicine. Yep it’s another isekai but it’s really good! It’s a world where he can use magic to make pharmaceuticals. Drugs + magic lol what could possibly go wrong?
📖 Books
I’m currently reading a couple of books. One of them is called Attached which my friend Ken sent me as part of a post-breakup care package. The other is called 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do from my friend Ashish. I’ve had the support of so many amazing friends and I’m just incredibly grateful. ❤️
Attached is about different adult attachment styles. You may have heard about the three attachment categories: anxious, avoidant, and secure.
😰 Anxious people are preoccupied with their relationships and tend to worry about their partner’s ability to love them back.
😬 Avoidant people see intimacy as a loss of independence and constantly try to withdraw and minimize closeness.
😊 Secure people feel comfortable with intimacy and are usually warm and loving.
I really appreciate this book because it’s helping me understand the relationship from an objective perspective. Highly recommend.
13 Things Mentally Strong People Don’t Do, as its name suggests, is a book about strategies that help you develop mental strength. The 13 things are:
Don’t waste time feeling sorry for yourself
Don’t give away your power
Don’t shy away from change
Don’t focus on things you can’t control
Don’t worry about pleasing everyone
Don’t fear taking calculated risks
Don’t dwell on the past
Don’t make the same mistakes over and over
Don’t resent other people’s success
Don’t give up after the first failure
Don’t fear alone time
Don’t feel the world owes you anything
Don’t expect immediate results
I found the chapters on don’t waste time feeling sorry for yourself and don’t dwell on the past especially helpful. In the don’t feel sorry for yourself chapter, Amy talks about changing your perspective into gratitude. That has helped a lot.

It is nice to see you are trying to get back up. A sign of being driven. The natural drive to get back at it. Nice.
