Hi friends! How’s it going??

I went to the YouTube Creator Summit with some of the biggest creators on the platform! I got to talk to MKBHD, MatPat, Jarvis, The Coding Train, Cassandra Bankson, Graham Stephan, Alex Botez, and so many others. ngl I had so much imposter syndrome and was totally starstruck (I hope they couldn’t tell), but I truly felt so honoured to be there. The best room to be in is the one where you're by far the least successful, and I got to do that for 3 whole days!!

I feel so lucky to have met so many top creators. I’m going to do my best to reach their level one day!

I’m super late to the party, but tl;dr about o1 is that it finally knows how many r’s are in strawberry! For anyone who hasn’t been following too closely, this strawberry question has been notoriously hard for LLMs to get right because of how they work under the hood. 🍓

Okay, so practically speaking, after playing around with o1, I do notice an accuracy difference between o1 and 4o, but only with harder reasoning questions in STEM subjects. The o1-mini, in particular, is fine-tuned for coding and STEM, while o1-preview is the more general version. Overall, if you're not already paying for a subscription, I’d hold off on buying a premium one just for o1.

Also, between Claude Sonnet 3.5 and o1-mini for coding, Claude still seems to be better.
