Hi friends, how’s it going?
I just got back to Hong Kong after a whirlwind 3-week trip to the US for conference season. Most of the major tech events happen at the same time so I went to Code with Claude, Google I/O, and a bunch of others, mostly bouncing between Austin and San Francisco.
I learned so much and left feeling incredibly inspired. The AI world is moving so fast, and being surrounded by so many brilliant people made me feel really lucky to be part of it. 💜
I also got to catch up with a bunch of friends I rarely get to see in person, including Ken Jee, Daliana Liu, Jay Feng!
Now that I’m back, I’ve been taking it slow and catching up with friends here. I brought back Yellowbird hot sauces as little gifts (the ghost pepper one has been... entertaining to watch lol).
Hope you’re all doing well wherever you are in the world. 😊
🌻 Interesting Things (I think)
A range of things that I find interesting!
🖊️ Learning
Here are some of the things I’ve been learning lately.👇
Google AI Studio – I’ve been revisiting this since they’ve rolled out a bunch of new features, including audio and video generation. You can also build AI apps completely for free. Google AI Studio is such an underrated product. 💎
Model Context Protocol (MCP) Course – This one’s from Anthropic and hosted by DeepLearning.ai. I’ve been playing with MCP for a while now, but figured I should also do this course since it’s free and straight from the source. Just started, but here’s the link if you’d like to check it out too!
Investing for Beginners – I bought this course a couple years ago during one of Udemy’s crazy flash sales and found it quite comprehensive yet still beginner friendly. I’m now revisiting it as I rethink my investing strategy with everything going on in the world. Here’s the course link if you want to check it out. I would recommend waiting for a sale if you want to get it!
